As he prepares to build his cabinet, President-elect Joe Biden has rallied his team to lead his affirmative struggle in the Senate.
Jen Psaki, who is acting director of communications at President Obama’s White House, will oversee the team, according to a list provided to CNN by the transition authorities.
Olivia Alair Dalton, former Biden Assistant to the Senate, will be in charge of communications strategy, and Reema Dodin, area director for Senhip Whip Dick Durbin, will be in charge of legal strategy. Jorge Neri, a former senior adviser to Biden’s campaign, will be deputy director of outreach for verification.
Others on the team include Andrew Bates, Biden’s campaign’s rapid response director, who is running for office; Sean Savett, former director of rapid response campaigns Pete Buttigeig; And Saloni Sharma, former Deputy Director of Communications for Elizabeth Warren Advertising.
Stephanie Valencia is handling the outreach of Biden’s Transformation Team, and Louisa Terrell is working with MPs for Transformation.
As they prepare for the Senate certification process, the team will also prepare to “introduce the nominees to the American people and set them to succeed as leaders in the Biden Board,” he said. The official said this included “throwing away an old playbook stating that the anonymous person would not speak in public until a hearing was held.”
Politico first reported on the formation of this team.
