India on Tuesday reported 36,470 Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the lowest increase since July 17.
This is the ninth day in a row that the country has reported more than 60,000 cases.
In contrast, the United States reported 66,784 lawsuits in the last 24 hours, nearly double India’s daily numbers.
Ministry of Health, of which 90% are missing.
The country’s death toll was 119,502, up 488 from the previous day.
India saw its highest daily increase on Sept. 17, when 97,894 cases were reported – the world’s largest single-day increase.
Opening Period: The recent decline comes as the country began lifting its coronavirus restrictions last month.
On September 1, India started the “Unlock Unlock 4.” subway travel was allowed to resume from September 7, and the restrictions on social gatherings in the surrounding area were raised to 200 from October 15.
As of October 15, schools and other educational institutions in many parts of the country, such as Punjab and Uttar Pradesh, have reopened in a class-level manner.
The decision on what and when to reopen is made by the state government.
