Russia reported 17,717 new cases of coronavirus on Thursday, marking a daily increase in the number of cases since the outbreak began, according to data from the country’s Coronavirus Response Center.
Russia has also reported coronavirus-related death tolls in the past 24 hours, with 366 deaths.
The number of cases of cholera in Russia as of October 29 was 1,581,693, with a total death toll of 27,301.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said Wednesday in a video conference that met with President Vladimir Putin and senior government officials.
Golikova says there is a significant situation in 16 regions of Russia, where hospital beds are over 90% and in 5 regions, more than 95% of the sleeping capacity is occupied.
Russia declared a nationwide crackdown earlier this week as the number of Covid-19 cases increased daily. People all over the country have to put up masks in public places, public transport, parking lots and elevators.
Russian health and consumer regulations Rospotrebnadzor also recommend that restaurants and cafes close between 11pm and 6am.
